Thressa Tillman, 83, of Ottawa, IL, died, Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, April 4, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Pastor Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 - 6 pm, Sunday, April 3 at Calvary Baptist Church arrangements are entrusted to the Ottawa Funeral Home. Thressa Tillman was born, June 9, 1927, in Shelbyville TN, to Willie B. and Daisy C. (Rippy) Shoffner. She married Thomas Lee Tillman Jr. May 1948 he died June 8, 1967. She had worked for Bakelite, Snap-on-tools, as a caregiver and as a cook at St. Columba Rectory for Msgr. Boyle and Msgr. Hallin. She was a member, Trustee and past treasurer of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter Mariam Tillman of Ottawa, two grandchildren Shalanda (Marcos) Rabadan and Thomas James "TJ" Stokes and a great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her Parents, one son Thomas III one sister Gemme Gordon and a great grandson Issac Lee Rabadan. Pallbearers will be Earl Phillips, Danny McCormick, Michael Mercer, Robert Bishop Jr. Derell Redmond and Allen Veasy. Honorary Pallbearers Tillmon Pratt, Curter Sanders, Charles Shepherd, Paul Veasy and Anthony Bishop Memorials may be directed to the Family.
