Thomas H. Wright

Thomas H. Wright, 76, of Ottawa, IL, lost his four and half year battle with cancer on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be at St. Columba Cemetery with Military Services. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm, Monday, May 9 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Knights of Columbus. Tom was born March 7, 1935, in Ottawa, IL. to Thomas "June" and Ceceila (Hoffman) Wright. He married Sally Curtin Cox on October 1, 1993 in Las Vegas NV. He retired from L.O.F Glass Co. He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Ottawa Moose Lodge, American Legion and the Marquette Go Club. Tom was inducted into Marquette Hall of Fame for his athletic accomplishment and commitment to the school. Tom Loved life, golf, cards and football. He is survived by his wife seven children Jan Zachary of Ottawa, Victoria (Michael) Finley of Grand Ridge, Thomas (Amy) Wright of Bloomington, Joy (Louis Dierzen) Wright of Newark, Marty (Starr) Cox of Pontiac, IL. Jane (Jim) Catron of Marseilles and Julie Naggs of Ottawa. Thirteen grandchildren Jacob Wright, Michael Zachary, Jennifer Greives, Nick Spencer, Maya Wright, Zoey Wright, Arnie Manley, Dustin Cox, Matthew Cox, Lindsey Catron, Breianne Catron, Seth Finley and Chad Naggs, and seven great grandchildren Grace Robbins, AJ Spencer, Jude Wright, Arnie Manley Jr. Arianna Catron, Chloe Catron and Carson Catron. And his sister JoAnn (Art) Monterastelli of Fl. He was preceded in death by his Parent. Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson, Harry Donnelly, Frank "Bud" Schlosser, Tom Wheatland, Jim Ausseum, Jack Fraine, Tony Stoudt, Nick Mangiaracina and Jim Downey.
