Thomas C. Reardon, 83, of Seneca, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Saturday, May 23, 2009, at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca with the Rev. Lourduraj Ignatius officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 am prior to services, at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Thomas was born July 11, 1925, in Morris, to Thomas J. and Helen (Noonan) Reardon. He graduated from The Higgin's Country School and Seneca Township High School in 1943. He then married Joan Cunningham at St. James Parish of Maywood, IL on February 7, 1948. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Seneca and was also a retired Seneca Volunteer Fire Fighter and served as Treasurer for the Rural Fire District. Thomas farmed all of his adult life, first with his father, and later with his son, Jay. He is survived by three daughters, Ilene Reardon of Kalamazoo, MI, Nancy (Donald) Fiedler of Dwight, IL, and Theresa (Larry) Bevington of Belleville, IL; five sons, Edward (Barbara) of St. Charles, IL, Daniel (Teri) of Conyers, GA., David (Kim) of Dardenne Prairie, MO., Patrick (Marie) of Kirkland, WA., and James "Jay" of Seneca, IL.; eighteen grandchildren, Donald Fiedler, Sandy (Mark) Strahanoski, Erin O'Grady, Nicholas and Emily Bevington, Shannon (Tommy) Goldsmith, Thomas, Gregory, Matthew, Sara, Mary Kate, Elizabeth, Michael, Patrick, Sean, Kelly, Kaylee, and Lance Reardon; and three great-grandchildren, Collin Goldsmith, Edward and Molly Strahanoski. Thomas was preceded in death by two sons in infancy, his parents, and two sisters, Helen Hogan and Mary McCabe. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to St. Patrick's Church, I Care International, or Elliot Institute.
