Thomas R. Duncan, 89, of Marseilles passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home.
Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Bladen officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00, one hour prior to funeral, at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. He will be buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Thomas was born June 9, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan. He married Thelma Bartlett October 24, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan; she passed away August 14, 2011. He served in the United States Navy from May 1945 - July 1946 as a cook on a Mine Detection ship. He worked for National Biscuit where he met his wife, Thelma, of 64 years. Retiring early from General Motors as a supervisor he was able to move north to Fife, Michigan. Tom and his wife eventually relocated to Seneca to be near Thelma's family.
He is survived by his sister-in-laws, Ramona "Mona" Murdock and Regina Nelson; his god son, Bruce Parker; several nieces and nephews; and several special friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Thelma; and nine siblings.
Pallbearers will be Lee Bartlett, Tim Bartlett, Darrell Hovious, Jeff, Tyler, and Jasper Hruribak.
Memorials may be directed to the donors choice.
