Theron Loughe

Theron T. Loughe, 47, of Ottawa, IL, died, Thursday, September 24, 2009 at his home. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 pm, Tuesday, September 29, 2009 with prayers at 8:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Theron was born August 20, 1962, in Dixon, to William and Sharon (Lario) Loughe. He married Tammy Roberts on August 22, 1992 in Ottawa. He was a long time employee and Manager for J Merle Jones and Sons. One of his greatest joys was watching Lindsey play softball as a Lady Pirate and her years of travel ball where he was able to coach her. The last couple of years he was enjoying being a grandpa to Donovan and Gwen. He enjoyed watching Ottawa Pirate football every fall and Lady Pirate Softball in the spring. He loved golf and really missed it. He is survived by his wife, Tammy; one son, Joshua (Lisa Eisert) Smith of Ottawa; one daughter, Lindsey Loughe at home; four sisters, Cindy (Gary) Pike, Dawn (Patrick) Kennedy, Dianna (Wade) Whittington, Kimberly (Derek) Bernardini; mother-in-law, Sandy McConnaughhay; brother-in-law, Mark (MaryAnn) Roberts; one aunt, Karon Hartzel; nine nieces; and four nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Whisenand; uncle, Melvin Hartzel; and his nephew, Robert Wade Whittington. Memorials may be directed to Lindsey's educational fund.
