Thelma Epperson, 79, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Ottawa Elks Club. Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with her cremation rites. Thelma was born July 21, 1938 in Campbell, Missouri to Delbert and Thelma (Pool) Bogard. She married Kenneth Epperson in 1958 in Peoria, Illinois; he passed away May 14, 2013. She had been employed at Block & Kuhl a subsidiary of Carson Prairie Scott and Reddick Library. She was an avid bowler and loved reading books. She was Elvis' biggest fan and loved her Chicago Cubs. She is survived by her children Anthony (Alice) Epperson Ottawa IL, Kathi Epperson Ottawa IL, and Shelli (Rick) Little Dallas TX; five grandchildren, Megan Kurtz Streator IL, Nathan ( Rose) Sellers Deer Park IL, Jennifer (Eric) Robinson Ottawa IL, Nicholas (Jenny) Sellers Washington IL and Cherie Little Austin TX; twenty-four great grandchildren; her twin sister, Wilma (Trenace) Denney East Peoria IL and her brother, John (Mary) Hubbs College Station TX She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth; and her sister, Sharon Knight. Memorials may be directed to Ottawa Elks or Reddick Library
