Thelma L. Duncan, 84, of Brookfield Township died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Morris Hospital. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Thelma was born, February 8, 1927, in Cave City, Kentucky to Oscar and Bertha Bartlett. She married Thomas Duncan October 24, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. Tom and Thelma lived in Michigan most of their lives until returning to Brookfield Township in 1998. Thelma had a gift for gardening and flowers, especially sharing them with family, friends and wildlife. She loved to take care of her family and helped raise some wonderful friends. Everyone knew she enjoyed her piglet decorations which varied from glassware, magnets, to lawn ornaments. Thelma was a great lady and will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by her husband; one sister, Remona Murdock of Green Valley, Arizona; one sister-in-law, Regina Nelson of Moline; five nephews, Gary Thorson and Lee Bartlett of Marseilles, Perry Bartlett of Ottawa, Tim Bartlett of Champaign, and Dana Lyon of Georgia; extended family, Jeff, Tracy, Tyler and Jasper Hruribak of Michigan, Pam and Claudia Welsh of Michigan, and Linda and Terry Martin of Marseilles. She was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline and two brothers, Junior and LeRoy. Pallbearers will be Lee, Tim and Perry Bartlett, Gary Thorson, Terry Martin, Jeff and Tyler Hruribak and Darrell Hovious. Memorials may be directed to the Seneca or Marseilles Ambulance Services.
