Terry Green

Terry L. Green, 67, of Ottawa, IL, died, Friday, August 19, 2011 at his home. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Donton officiating. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 pm, Monday, August 22 at Ottawa Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery with Military Services. Terry was born November 16, 1943, in Streator, Illinois to Vincent and Ellen (Snell) Green. He married Patricia Scherer on October 14, 1967 at St. Columba Church; she died April 25, 1988. He retired from GE Plastics, He was member of the 1960 basketball team and last year he and his teammates were inducted in the Ottawa High School Hall of Fame. Terry served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1965 and was stationed in Berlin, Germany. He is survived by his mother, Ellen Green of Deer Park; one daughter, Cindy (Tim) Donahue of Serena, one son, Dan (Rachel) Green of Ottawa; six grandsons, Jack, Sam and Max Donahue, Kyle, Evan and Cody Green; one sister, Linda (Roger) Hilton of Deer Park; one brother, Jim (Bonnie) Green of Montana; his side kick, Sue Walker of Ottawa; and her children and grandchildren Chad (Pam) Tommy, Katie Walker, Josh (Jenny) Adi, Sully, Marley Walker, Adam (Dawn) Lauren, Griffin, and Ben Walker. He was preceded in death by his father and wife Pat. Pallbearers will be Chad, Josh and Adam Walker, Randy Polach, Mickey Stevens, and Darrell Hart. Memorials may be directed to the family or to Marquette Academy Booster Club.
