Sylvia A. Zelman

Sylvia Zelman, 98, of Ottawa, IL, passed away on October 9, 2022 at her home.

Sylvia was born December 20, 1923, in Cicero, IL, to Marion Niedzielski and Mary Mroczynski Niedzielski . She married Joseph Zelman, who preceded her in death.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Natalie A. Zelman..

She was preceded in death by her parents Marion and Mary (Mroczynski) Niedzielski; and her husband Joseph.

Sylvia worked as a teacher and was a lover of the arts, nature and people.  She was also a writer and artist of children's books.  Syliva was a planter of trees and was filled with a spirit of caring.

Sylvia's favorite quote was: "In the name of the Bee — And of the Butterfly — And of the Breeze — Amen!" (E. Dickenson).
