Susanna Barry

Susanna E. Barry, 96, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Columba Church with Rev. Corey Krengiel officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 one hour prior to services on Saturday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Sue was born December 15, 1918 in Streator, Illinois to Joseph and Eva (Matysick) Bronovich. She married Richard M. Barry on February 15, 1939 at St. Mary's Church in Naplate. She was a member of St. Columba Church and American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Donald) Leonard of Ottawa, Sharon Barry of Dekalb; six grandchildren, Rick and Ron Leonard, David Pool, Kayla Leonard, Pam Rausch, and Bryan Leonard; and eight great-grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Madison, Collin, and Aiden Leonard, Nicole and Lindsey Rausch, and Alison Pool. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; two infant daughters; six sisters, Mary DeGrazio, Barbara Galletti, Veronica Koskovich, Ann Norris, Eleanor Meagher, Antoinette McDonnell; and one brother, Rudy Bronovich. Pallbearers will be Ron Leonard, David Pool, Bryan Leonard, Chris Rausch, Justin Leonard, and Jacob Leonard. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick and Collin Leonard.
