Stephan A. Ahasic

Stephan A. Ahasic, 58, of Streator passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 24, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Richardson, officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Stephan was born February 12, 1957 in Aurora, Illinois to Jerome and Alice "Rose" (Welz) Ahasic. He married Phillis Goforth on June 30, 1991 at Starved Rock. Stephan was working at Caterpillar, in Pontiac. He was a lifelong friend of Bill W. He is survived by wife; his mother, Rose Ahasic of Batavia; two sons, Christopher (Kimm) Ahasic of Kewanee and Tristan Ahasic of Streator; one daughter, Megan of Streator; three grandchildren, Lucy, Henry and Genevieve Ahasic; two brothers, Alan (Sandy) Ahasic of Lake Carol and Tom (Mary) Ahasic of Champaign IL. He is preceded in death by his father. Pallbearers will be Geoffrey McGill, Tristan Ahasic, Patrick Ahasic, Tom Ahasic, Alan Ahasic, Henry Ahasic, Michael Backos, and E.J Flanigan Memorials may be directed to the family.
