Siegfried Klemm, 72, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Heritage Manor in Streator. Funeral Service for Siegfried will be 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. David Kipfer officiating with military services. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. prior to services at Ottawa Funeral Home. Siegfried was born February 10, 1940 in Germany to Karl and Augusta (Latza) Klemm. He married Wanda Moore in 1965. She preceded him in death on May 30, 2008. Siegfried retired from GE. He served in the US Army in Germany as an interpreter and in the Military Police. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and the Ottawa Moose. He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Scott Lucas) Baiz of Streator and Heidi (Doug) Pfaff of Morris; two sons, Chris Klemm of Peoria and Sieggy Klemm of Ottawa; five step-children, Billy (Nancy) Knott of Chicago, Cathy (Gene) Kaufman of Ottawa, Ron (Sandy) Knott of Peru, Sandy (Bill) Crabb of Grand Ridge, and Brandy Davis of Kankakee; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christel (Ernie) Gier of Shorewood and Hilda Grieke of Joliet; and one brother, Monny (Cathy) Klemm of Joliet. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister; and one step-son, Robert Knott. Memorials may be directed to the family.
