Sherry Hougas

Sherry Hougas, 77, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her home.

Following her wishes, no services will be held. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Sherry was born July 6, 1945, in Marseilles, IL, to Joe and Bernadine (McConnaughhay) Wheeler. She enjoyed fishing and going to bingo. She loved to travel and go camping. She made many trips to Wisconsin, the Smokey Mountains, Kentucky, and Missouri. She also never passed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Tim (Cathy Scott) Kelley and William (Sonja) Hougas; 6 grandchildren; her sister, Barb Wheeler; and her ex husband, Charlie Celano. She was preceded in death by her parents.
