Sherlee Ludwig

Sherlee E. Ludwig, 81, of Ottawa, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Morton Terrace Limited, Morton, IL. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Johnson of the Southside Assembly of God Church officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Sherlee was born October 11, 1926, in Ottawa to Lester and Laura (Flory) Grieves. She married Lloyd H. Ludwig in 1947 in Ottawa. He died in 1993. She was a member of the Starved Rock Club. She was inducted into the Women's Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a belly dancer, sky diver, scuba diver, and a Blue Ribbon Swimmer. She worked the concession stand for the Marseilles softball games. Sherlee is survived by her companion Grover Atkinson; one daughter Debby (Denny) Dougherty of Serena; one son Lloyd H. Ludwig of Naplate; one granddaughter Lora (Todd) Dean of Coffeen, IL; one grandson Eric Forst of Ottawa and two great-grandchildren Brooke and Blair Dean.
