Sharon Martin

Sharon Martin, 83, of Seneca, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.

Sharon was born June 11, 1940, in Kewanee, IL, to and Ruby . She married Charles "Jim" Martin on June 26, 1970 in Aurora, IL. He passed away January 3, 2009.

Sharon enjoyed working in her yard and always had the most beautiful plants. She would count her surprise lilies everyday. When she wasn't in the yard, she enjoyed reading a good book or watching a few episodes of NCIS. She loved every minute of being a grandma. She always used the phrase "What happens at nana's stays at nana's." She was an avid animal lover and was just the strongest and most independent person you would meet.

She is survived by her children, Janet Goodrich, John Michael Martin, Julie (Alex) Ardelean, Jeff (Jennifer) Martin, and Charlotte (Bruce) Shyrock; her daughter in law, Amy Goodrich; 19 grandchildren; Numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, James Goodrich.
