Sharon Garrity

M. Sharon (O'Donnell) Garrity, 71, or Penick Village Southern Pines, N.C. formerly of Ottawa, passed away Friday March 14, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 10 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday March 18, 2008 with the Rosary at 4 P.M. with Catholic Daughters of America in attendance at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Private burial will be at a later date at St. Columba Cemetery. She was born on November 27, 1936 at LaSalle, IL to John E. And Rose M. (Cosgrove) O'Donnell. They preceded her in death. She retired from St. Patrick's Grade school after 19 years as a teacher. She graduated from Marquette High School and Clarke College in Dubugue, IA. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Catholic Daughters of America and the Union Bank Board. She is survived by one sister; Rosemary (Robert) Corcoran of Southern Pines, one niece; Maura (Chris) Zarnik and 2 nephews; Michael Corcoran and Andrew (Julie) Corcoran. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Grade School or to the Donor's Choice.
