Sandy Gamons

Sandra Jean Gamons, 73, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Ottawa Pavilion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 26 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Naplate, with Rev. Steven Loftus officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with prayers by Rev. David Kipfer at 5:45 p.m. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park.

Born on September 13, 1942 in Galesburg, Sandra was the daughter of Lloyd and Pauline (Parr) Fuller. She married Eugene Robert Gamons on August 14, 1965 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Naplate; he passed away July 9, 2005.

Sandra was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Naplate. She was also a member of the Xi Alpha Zeta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Terri (Douglas) Teeters of Woodstock; a son, Jeffrey (Donna) of Ottawa; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Teeters of Woodstock; grandson, Dylan Teeters of Woodstock; and granddaughters, Jenna and Taylor Gamons, both of Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Lloyd (Vic) Fuller.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Gamons, Douglas Teeters, Dylan Teeters, and James Gromm.

Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Church in Naplate.
