Sandra K Steele

Sandra Kay Steele, 80, of Oglesby, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru, IL.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home.

Sandra was born on October 28, 1945, in Mendota, Illinois, to Albert and Ruth (Fox) Fultz. She worked as a cook at Green Mill Restaurant for more than 30 years before retiring in 2007.

Sandra enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved sitting outside and visiting with family and friends, playing bingo and card games, and spending time baking and cooking. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them.

Sandra is survived by Toby (Lacey) Steele, Billie Jo (Bob) Mullar, Trudi (John) Zulkowsky, Lynn Steele, Sandra Steele Ross, Todd Steele, and Scott Steele; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Nancy Steffenof and Judy Kinsel; many nieces and nephews; and her cat, Kissy.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Price and William Steele Jr.; her parents, Albert and Ruth (Fox) Fultz; her sisters, Cheryle Blackburn, Connie Blackburn, Karen Choenburger, and Sue Fultz; her brothers, Larry Fultz and James Fultz; her granddaughter, Heidi Delahaba; and her grandson, Mathew Steele.
