Sandra Nagle

Sandra "Spitfire" Thomas-Nagle, 40, of Ottawa, Illinois, died unexpectedly on March 11, 2022.

A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, March 18 at 6:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Phil Peterson officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 until 6:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Sandra was born on January 01, 1982 in Ottawa Illinois to Dale Thomas and Dawn (Wheeler) Vicich. Sandra graduated from Seneca Township High School in 2000 and went on to earn several college degrees. She gave birth to two beautiful children Donovan and Morena. She went on to marry Casey Nagle of Ottawa.

Sandra was known for her love of the beach and the ocean and loved to lay in the sun. She was always the "third wheel" to her best friend Kelly and her husband BJ. She was known around town as "Spitfire" the toughest female MMA fighter around. She loved Christmas and dancing to Christmas carols. Most of all she loved her kids more than anything in the world. She enjoyed shopping and dinner dates with her little sisters.

Sandra was survived by her loving husband who she shared many wonderful memories with Casey Nagle. Her children Donovan Thomas of LaSalle, IL and Morena Broyles of Marseilles, IL. Her father Dale Thomas of Seneca, IL her mother Dawn (Franklin) Vicich of Missouri. Her sister's Eden Thomas and Gabrielle (Zaccarri) Thomas-Smith also of Seneca, IL. Her best friend Kelly (BJ) Neal of Seneca, IL. Her paternal grandmother Neta Thomas of Homosassa, FL and maternal grandmother Sandra Wheeler of Missouri. And her and her husband's furbabies Hugo and Chester.
