Sandra Jean Malley

Sandra Jean Malley, 73, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away, Friday May 20, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mass will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 25th at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24th at the Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 3:45 pm. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.

Sandy was born July 2, 1942 in Ottawa, Illinois to Vernon and Gladys (Serby) Bruck. She married James Malley on March 3, 1962 in St. Columba Church.

Sandy retired from Cheatham Chiropractic. She was a member of St. Columba Church, Pine Hills Golf Club and was a Die Hard Cubs fan. Sandy always enjoyed family gatherings at her grandparents farm. She especially enjoyed time spent time with her grandchildren and her puppies.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Malley, two sons, Jimmy (Roxanne) Malley of Batavia, Jason (Christie) Malley of Yorkville and a daughter, Jeri (Patrick) Lakan of Ottawa, seven grandchildren Jacob & Ben Lakan, Mackenzie, Jack, Dave, Liam, and Aidan Malley, two sisters Judy Walsh, Karen (Emmett) Roth, two brothers Ken (Mary Sue) Bruck and Kevin (Lynn) Bruck all of Ottawa.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Hank Walsh.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and son-in-law.
