Sandra C. Lubshina

Sandra C. Lubshina, 64, of Ottawa, IL, died peacefully on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, attended by her loving husband, daughters, and eldest granddaughter. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home. The visitation will start at 4:00 PM with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating services at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park. Sandra was born January 17, 1946, in Blythe, CA, to Cloyd and Veneta (Neal) Cook. She married John F. Gerding Jr. (deceased) and mothered two children. She married Joseph D.Lubshina on January 18, 1990 in Ottawa. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation of Shawnee, OK. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Lubshina of Ottawa; two daughters, Velana Huntington of North Liberty, Iowa and Ericka Gerding (John Smart) of Apple Valley, MN.; one son-in-law, Dan Huntington of Coal Valley, IL.; one sister, Velana Housewright of Modesto, CA.; three brothers, Greg Alderman of Bishop, CA., David Welsh of San Diego, CA., and Darrin Welsh of Merlin, OR.; three grandchildren; Dylan Huntington, Malcolm Smart, and Kendra Smart. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Larry. Memorials may be directed to the family.
