Sandra Hendrickson

Sandra "Sam" J. Hendrickson, 73, of Ottawa passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home.

Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, February 16, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. William Clark officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm February 16, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.

Sandra was born June 24, 1944 in Cedar Point, Illinois to Stanley and Frances (Omahen) Ernat. She married Jim Hendrickson Sr. on July 24, 1975.

Sandra previously worked as a crossing guard at Ottawa Elementary School District and customer service at Dettore's West Lanes. She was a giving, caring, and loving wife, mom, grandmama, and great grandma. She had an undeniable love for nature and all of god's creatures, especially her current furbaby Mr. Slinky. She enjoyed riding horses, tending to her flowers and her garden, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; six children, Randy Payne, Ed Payne, Cindy Baiz, Candy (David) Dubach, James Hendrickson Jr., and Samantha (Fernando) Alvarado; twelve grandchildren, Christopher Pumo, Michael Lazar, Brody Dubach, Miranda Payne, Shawna Payne, Alex Baiz, Thomas Haws, Dominic Haws, Hanna Hendrickson, Rodrigo Alvarado, Letizia Alvarado, Fernando Alvarado, Trevor Milam, and Kassandra Seaborn; seven great-grandchildren; and her siblings Stanley Ernat, David Ernat, Sharon Debosik, Sue Ernat, and Kenny Ernat.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two children, Tammy Payne-Milam and William Payne; her daughter-in-law, Mary Kay Payne; and her brother, Eugene Ernat.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Christopher Pumo, Michael Lazar, Brody Dubach, Alex Baiz, Thomas Haws, and Dominic Haws.
