Sandra J. Alvarado

Sandra J. Alvarado, 68, of Ottawa, Il passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her home. A Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Sandra was born January 30, 1942 in Chicago, Il to Morton and Margaret (Shemwell) Hendricks. She had a great compassion for reading, love and life, a true forgiving heart, and a great love for her family, which she taught to all of her children. We will carry this on with a full and heavy heart for her forever. She will be so greatly missed, but deeply remembered, with a little act of kindness. We love you Mom and will see you again sometime. We will find you! P. S. We'll leave the window open. Sandra is survived by three daughters, Kimberly (Philip) Margowski of Ottawa, Brenda Hansen of Grand Ridge, and Vanessa (Mark) Alvarado-Rochon of Chicago, Il; one son, Tim (Deb) Hansen of Ottawa, Il; eight grandchildren, Aaron (Heather) Hansen, Jessica (Jason) Burress, Jacob (Meredith) Bailey, Alex, Chris, and Steve Hansen, Emm Margowski, Simone Alvarado-Rochon; two great grandchildren, Johnathen and Jennipher Burress; her husband, Ruben Alvarado; three brothers, Phillip (Arlene) Hendricks, Morty, and Michael Hendricks, all of Chicago, Il; her step mother, Bernice Salvo of Chicago, Il; and many nieces and nephews. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Pamela. Memorials may be directed to the family.
