Ruth Kalis

Ruth Kalis, 84, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 at her home. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor David Ufkes officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to services on Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Chicago at a later date. Ruth was born April 2, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois to Julius and Ida (Fritz) Schmidt. She married Robert William Kalis and he passed away July 1985. She is survived by her daughter in law, Linda Kalis of Ottawa; and her three granddaughters, Lindsey, Joanna and Elsa Kalis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her only son, Ronald. Memorials may be directed to the family.
