Ruth Daw

Ruth W. Daw, 89, of Marseilles, Illinois passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at her home. A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 pm Monday July 13, 2015 at the Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Hefner officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in later at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. with Peggy Schuman officiating. Ruth was born February 8, 1926 in Chicago, Il. to Fred and Lucille (CePeck) Pollack. She married John Daw on September 4, 1948, at St. Rita's Church in Chicago, he died August 13, 2013. Ruth was a member of the First Church of God in Marseilles. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth (Jesse) Rodriguez of Stickney and Kathy (Rick) Vesper of Marseilles; three sons, Jack (Barb) Daw of Marseilles, David Daw of Mendota, and Michael (Patty) Daw of Lockport; nine grandchildren, Jeanne and Kathy Harley, Lucy Vesper, Reannon Juergensen, Sarah Brewer, Brian Daw, Amy Stacy, Meghan and Andrew Daw; and three great grandchildren, Nick, Jacob, and Irene. She is preceded in death by her parents on one granddaughter Melissa Juergensen, three brothers Glen, Fred & Gordon and one sister Bernice in infancy. Memorials may be directed to any of our Animal Rescue Services.
