Ruth Brewe

Ruth K. Brewe, 94, of Altoona, Wisconsin, formerly of Seneca, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at Luther Hospital. Funeral Service for Ruth will be 11:00 Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Seneca. Her visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 Tuesday, July 31 one hour prior to services at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She will be buried in Stavanger Cemetery. Osborne Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca is in charge of local arrangements. Ruth was born December 29, 1917 in Moorhead, Minnesota to George and Erma (Rickart) Kendall. She married Edward Brewe in 1941 in University City, Missouri. He passed away April 30, 1991. She was a 1939 graduate of MacMurry College in Jacksonville, Illinois. She retired in 1978 from teaching Home Economics at the Seneca High School. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Seneca, Women's Circle, Delta Theta Tau, H.E.A. Morning Unit, and she sang in the church choir for many years. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann (Robert) Klein of Eau Clair, WI; one son, George (Theresa) of McHenry, IL; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sisters. Pallbearers will be her loving family members. Memorial contributions may be directed to Our Saviors Lutheran Church or to donor's choice.
