Ross Douglas Anderson

Ross Douglas Anderson, 68, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachael (Ross) Peoples, of Papillion, NE & their children Zach & Bridget.  His son, Neil (Kendra) Anderson of Ottawa, IL & their children LaShawn & Dominick.  Sisters, Gail (Les) Petersen of DePere, WI & Jill Myerly of North Chesterfield, VA. He is also survived by his former wife & mother of his children, Marna (Steve) Harmon, girlfriend Diane Lewis & several nieces and nephews.

Ross was born November 7, 1953, in Ottawa, IL, to Donald & Ruth (Drinen) Anderson.  He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1971. He was an equipment operator at U. S. Silica for over 40 years. He was also a member of The Ottawa Moose Lodge.  Ross enjoyed traveling, his favorite destinations were Wisconsin & Florida. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Ross was preceded in death by his parents & his brother, Marc Anderson.

A celebration of life will be held at Dayton Ridge Golf Course on Saturday, November 26th from 12:00-3:00 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ottawa Funeral Home.
