Rosela Contreras

Rosela Contreras, 66, of Ottawa died unexpectedly on June 10, 2018.

Funeral Services for Rosela will be 6:00 Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Deacon Danny McShane officiating. Her visitation will be 3:00 - 6:00 Tuesday, three hours prior to services, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Following her services cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be private at St. Columba Cemetery.

Rosela was born on February 12, 1952 to Alberto and Celia (Santoy) Contreras in Mier y Noriega, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Rosela was a dedicated and hardworking employee at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital and Blackley’s Cleaner’s in Ottawa. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Rosela will be forever remembered by her siblings, Jose Filadelfio (Maria) Contreras, Juan (Engracia) Contreras, Alberto (Jackie) Contreras, Hermila (Miguel) Heredia, Mayel (Felipe) Gonzalez, Carmen (Maggie) Contreras, Leyla (Alfredo) Contreras and Marla (Julio) Hernandez; She will be fondly remembered as Aunt “Chala” to her numerous nieces and nephews; She will also be missed by her large extended family, dear friends and special friend, David Ortiz.

Rosela was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elodia (Contreras) Guajardo.
