Rose Mary Valdez

Rose Mary Valdez, 65, of Ottawa, Illinois, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at her home. Funeral Services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Nicholl officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Rose Mary was born October 25, 1946, in Marseilles, Illinois to Ralph and Kathryn (Kastler) Ashley. She married Roy Valdez on November 20, 1964 in Ottawa. She worked at Nabisco Company in Marseilles. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Kathy Valdez of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Shane Valdez , Kristi Thompson, and Kaitlyn Stanford, all of Ottawa; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Valdez and Preston Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kelly Price; and two granddaughters, Jerrilyn and Jessica. Memorials may be directed to the family.
