Rose Elizabeth Tellefson

Rose Elizabeth Tellefson, 89, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Pleasant View. Mass of Christian Burial for Rose will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 5:30 with Catholic Daughters of Americas. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park. Rose was born September 6, 1923 in Kincaid, Illinois to Dewey and Linda (Foli) Greenan. She married Ivan LaVerne Tellefson on June 21, 1947 in Earlville, Illinois. Ivan passed away September 10, 2005. Rose graduated from ISU, taught school at Serena High School and Leland High School and Grade School, she substitute taught at Serena, Seneca, Marseilles, and Ottawa schools. She was a member of St. Columba Church and the Catholic Daughters of Americas. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Mike) Wagner of Dixon and Denise (Roger) Koch of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Stephen (Laurie) Edgcomb, Michelle (Tom) Friday, Rachel (Chris) Hassard, Nicole (Eric) Cromer and Jessica Koch; two great grandsons, Alexander Edgcomb and Ryan Hassard; and a brother, Robert (Joanne) Greenan of Edina, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan and her parents. Pallbearers will be Steve Edgcomb, Tom Friday, Chris Hassard, Eric Cromer, Mike Wagner, Roger Koch and Ron Koch.
