Rose Frye

Rose Marie Frye, 80, formally of Seneca, Illinois passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Ottawa Pavilion. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at St. Patrick Church in Seneca with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with rosary at 3:45 on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation also will be one hour prior to Mass on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Ransom, Illinois. Rose was born November 25, 1934 in Streator, Illinois to Peter and Mary (Saflarski) Promenschenkel. She married C. Ronald Frye on January 30 1954 at St. Stephen's Church in Streator; he passed away December 31, 2007. Rose was a past member of Town and Country Junior Women's Club, Quilters Guild, St. Mary's Auxiliary, Everready Club, St. Patrick's Altar and Rosary Society, served on the Seneca Grade School Board of Education for 25 years, Member of the KC Auxiliary, LaSalle County Home and Community Education, and LaSalle County Genecology Guild. She is survived by two daughters, Debra (James) Pfeifer, of Russell, Iowa and Pamela (David) Brockman, of Verona; three sons, Ronald (Jennifer) Frye, of Seneca, Richard (Judy) Frye, of Marseilles, and Darryl Frye of Seneca; fourteen grandchildren, Daniel (Stefanie) Pfeifer, Angela (Cory) Clark, Jodi (Brian) Briggs, Justin Pfeifer, Christopher Brockman, Jeffrey (Holly) Brockman, and Sara (Mark) Mitchell, Erica, Ryan, David, Addison, Jessica, Joseph, and Nicholas Frye; six great-grandchildren, Abbigail Pfeifer, Keegan and Caleb Clark, Tanner, Connor, Chloe Briggs; one brother, Chris (Arlene) Promenschenkel of Streator; and four sisters, Suzanne Berg, Carol Lahman, Teresa (Larry) Yednock of Streator, and Kathy(Donald) Renn of LasVegas, NV. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister MaryKay Dunning Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be her granddaughters Memorials may be directed to Hospice, Foundation for PSP, or donors choice.
