Rose Eichelkraut

Rose Eichelkraut, 86, of Ottawa passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. A memorial visitation will be 3:00 Monday, September 3, 2012 at the Ravlin, 400 E. Washington Street. Ottawa Funeral Home oversaw the cremation. Rose was born November 2, 1925 in Arma, KS, to Ralph and Sophia (Merciez) Phelps. She married Bernard "Jerry" Eichelkraut June 30, 1962 in Ottawa at St. Columba Church. He died in June 18, 1994. Rose is survived by one daughter, Renee Descente of Cummings, GA; two grandchildren, Joshua and Jason Langley of Cummings, GA; two nieces Rita Ruder of Wisconsin, Sally (Jeff) Ogle of Kankakee. She is preceded in death by her husband Bernard "Jerry"; and two brothers, Joseph and Robert. Memorials may be directed to the family.
