Rory Brooks

Rory Brooks, 60, of Ottawa passed away Monday, April 16, 2018. Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. John Paul Robbins officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:30 Saturday, two hours prior to services, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Rory was born January 5, 1958 in Ottawa, Illinois to Dennis and Phyllis (Patterson) Brooks. Rory was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He really loved his mother and enjoyed gardening with her. He is survived by his two children, Brandon (Erica) Brooks and Jenifer (Scott) Sterchi; his mother, Elaine Brooks; four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Madilyn, and Olivia Sterchi, and Emma Brooks; and six siblings, Deborah (Jerry) Wold, Scott (Eve) Brooks, Melanie (Dave) Abernathy, Brent (Cindy) Brooks, Noel (Sheri) Brooks, and Nicky Vanda. He is preceded in death by his father; and his brother in infancy, Dennis Brooks. Memorials may be directed to his family.
