Ronald J Perona

Ronald J. Perona, 74, of Ottawa passed away April 11, 2011 at Rivershores in Marseilles. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday April 16, 2011 with Rev. David Kipfer of St. Columba Church officiating at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 Friday April 15, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles with Military Services. Ronald was born July 18, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Anton and Victoria (Micor) Perona. He graduated from Seneca High School in 1954 He worked at Nabisco/Federal Paper for 40 years. He was in the US Army. Besides being an avid gardener, he donated over 7 gallons of blood to the Red Cross and volunteered in community projects. Ronald is survived by one sister, Jan (Ronald) Einhaus of Seneca; one nephew, R. Cary Einhaus of Exeter, NH.; and one niece, Catherine Towery of Palm Springs, CA. and two great nieces, Eliya Bella Toledano and Toria Rose Towery. He was preceded in death by his parents.
