Roger A. Scheidecker

Roger A. Scheidecker, 64, of Peru passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Memorial Services will be held at 6 pm, Tuesday, November 28 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 pm, prior to the services, at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. Roger was born August 7, 1953 in Sandwich, Illinois to Roy and Kari (Nesja) Scheidecker. He married Nancy Moran in September 1992 in Mendota. Roger retired from Labor's Local 393 in Marseilles after more than 40years. He loved golfing, reading, and hunting for morel mushrooms, and he was a tremendous pool player. Roger especially loved playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife; one son, Leo (Amber) Moran; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Allison, Noah, Jakob, and Madelyn; and his siblings, Gary and Mark (Mary) Scheidecker, Zoe (Don) Cassady, Ernest, Terri, Jack, and Jason Beardsley, Jill Garcia, and Tina Likeness. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tim Beardsley.
