OTTAWA -- Robert Zeller, 81, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, at his home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Williams officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park with military services. Visitation will be two hours prior to services Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Zeller was born May 20, 1926, in Ottawa, to Harry and Bessie (Newton) Zeller. He married Kathryn Rockford on July 7, 1951, in Ottawa. She died July 8, 1999. He was a bookbinder for Illinois Office Supply and BWD until his retirement. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater 119th Infantry, receiving the Bronze Star. He was a member of Pine Hills Golf Club, Ottawa Moose Lodge, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by nieces and nephews; his friend, Joyce Hermann of Ottawa; sister-in-law, Rose Liebe of Ottawa; and a brother-in-law, Leo Rockford of Lancaster, Calif. He was preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn. Pallbearers will be Rich Rockford, Ron, Jason and Steve Callaway. Memorials may be directed to hospice. Obituary written by family members.
