Robert Walters

Robert J. Walters, 85, of Ottawa passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, June 23 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 pm, prior to services, at Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Bob was born June 18, 1932 in Nokomis, IL to Frank and Gladys (Carroll) Donaldson; he was adopted by John and Lucille Walters of Chicago. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He is survived by two children, Robyn (Tom Graham) Walters of Ottawa, and Scott (Donna) Olson of Carpentersville, IL; six grandchildren, Marissa Graham, Brock and Bristol Hughes, and Michael, Keith, and Victor Olson; three siblings, Donna Walcott of AZ, Nancy Ogle of Ottawa, and Larry Walters of Chicago; one sister-in-law, Jackie Kolba of Bourbonnais; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Ellen; his wife, Donna; and a brother-in-law, Robert Ogle. Memorials may be directed to the family.
