Robert Petre

Robert W. Petre, 67, of La Salle passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church with officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am, two hours prior to services, Saturday at Grace Baptist Church, 601 E McKinley Rd, Ottawa, IL 61350. He will be buried in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Robert was born October 2, 1950 in Ottawa, Illinois to Gilbert and Patricia (Engel) Petre. He graduated from Marquette High School. He is retired from North Central Behavior in Ottawa. He absolutely loved the New York Yankees. He is survived by his children, Jennifer Petre of Chicago, IL., Jacob (Tasha Ray) Petre of Machesney Park, IL., and Michael (Nube) Petre of LosAngeles, CA.; his step-daughter, Mandy Moisant of LaSalle, IL; four grandchildren, Caleb Petre, Olivia Petre, Jude Petre, and Kai Petre; two step grandchildren, Nicholas Sheldon and Breanna Sheldon; three siblings, Catherine (Ed) Goetsch, Gilbert (Debra) Petre, and Donald (Anne) Petre; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Roberta Petre; his siblings, Orwin Petre, Larry Petre, Patrick Michael Petre, and Mary Lowden. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to his family.
