Robert J. O'Laughlin

Robert "Bud" J. O'Laughlin, 92, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:15 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to services, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park. Bud was born August 17, 1920, in Brookfield Township, Illinois, to James and Mary (Coughlin) O'Laughlin. He farmed for most of his life. He was a graduate of Ottawa High School and also attended Iowa State. He is survived by a brother, George (Ellen) O'Laughlin of Cumberland, RI and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joseph O'Laughlin; and one sister, Mary Helen Hollahan. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Memorials may be directed to the St. Columba Renovation Fund.
