Robert Ogle

Robert Ogle, 78, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Ottawa, Illinois. Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, 2014, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be at 4:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home with Vitas Chaplin Terry Ann Dumyahn officiating. Burial will be Monday, August 18, 2014, at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Robert was born February 25, 1936 in Augusta, Illinois to the late Edmund N. and Ruth S. (Griffeth) Ogle. He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 - 1962. He married Nancy L. Schomas on September 5, 1970 at St. Francis Church in Ottawa Illinois. He was a member of St. Francis Church in Ottawa and retired from Modern Business Services as a technician in office repair. He enjoyed spending time with his family and caring for his wife, Nancy. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Teresa (David) Taylor, of Ottawa, and her children, Nathan, Noah and Nicolas; daughter, Mary Ruth (Chad) Ellington, of Owings, Md., and her children, Meson and Colin; one son, Robert William (Jody) Ogle, of Kangley, and his children, Helena, Alea and Johanna; and one sister, Carrel German, of Tampa, Fla. Heartfelt thanks to all of the exceptional staff at Pleasant View Lutheran Home and Vitas Hospice Services; especially Terry, Emmerson, Paulette, and Nancy. Memorials may be directed to the family.
