Robert Mclennan

Robert McLennan, 79, of Marseilles, Illinois passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites. Robert was born November 20, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to William and Anna (Johnston) McLennan. He married Judith Garrison on January 20, 1958 in Rock Island, IL. Robert owned and operated the McLennan Builders since 1973. He enjoyed hiking and traveling, and in 2008 at the age of 70, he hiked 2,200 miles on the Appalachian Trail. He is survived by his wife, Judy; one son, William; four daughters, Christina, Regina, Kari, and Shawna; eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth and Mary; and one brother, Joe. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John. Memorials may be directed to The Appalachian Trail Conservancy or to a charity of the donor's choice.
