Robert W. Hay Sr.

Robert W. Hay Sr., 85 of Marseilles, IL, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 at Pleasant View. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, May 3, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be 3-5 PM Sunday May 2, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, IL. Robert was born July 7, 1924 in Ottawa, IL to Raymond and Mayme (Partridge) Hay. He married Ruth Hill in 1951. She died in 1961. He later married Dorothy Bell-Henby May 11, 1968 in Rockford. He worked as Plant Engineer at Libby Owens Ford. Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Marseilles; two daughters, Nancy Hay-Taylor of Marseilles and Janet (Mike) Corr of Chicago, IL; one son, Timothy (Brenda) Hay of Raleigh, NC; one step-son, Ed Henby of Galesburg, MI; nine grandchildren, Kylie Halterman, Shannon Martin, Joseph Hay, Brittany Hay, Jennifer Hay, Crystal Corr, Angelina Corr, Scott Henby, and Lisa Schroede; and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one son, Robert W. Hay Jr; three brothers, Raymond "Bud", Jack, and Billy; and one sister, Eleanor Ellingen. Pallbearers will be Bill Carr, Pete Dietrich, Roger Hill, Ed Henby, Joe Hay, Mike Corr, and Rod Halterman. Memorials may be directed to Pet Project.
