Robert "Ernie" Gray

Robert "Ernie" Gray, 59, of Ottawa passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at his home.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 pm, Thursday, December 30 at the Knights of Columbus in Ottawa. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites.

Ernie was born April 20, 1962, in Ottawa to Ernest Earl and Catherine (Lakan) Gray. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting with his brother David. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids outside, grilling "steak on a stick", canoeing, and playing basketball with his son Jacob. Ernie also liked to bowl, eat Chinese food, and watch the Chicago Bears. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by two children, Britney Gray and Jacob Gray, both of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Sean Davis, Sophia Ruiz, and Camila Gray; his siblings, Gail Gray, Bonnie (Roger) Zuk, Ernie (Diane) Gray, and Ben (Marcia) Gray. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, David and Lynda Gray.
