Robert "Jim" Fricke

Robert "Jim" James Fricke, 83, of Seneca passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. In honoring Jim's wishes he won't be having any services. Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home has been honored to serve his family. Jim was born June 10, 1931 in Washburn, Wisconsin to Elmer and Mary (Strevaler) Fricke. He married Lillian Geltz December 21, 1973. He retired from Libby Owens Ford after 44 years of service. He also reupholstered furniture for many years. He was a member of the Ottawa Masonic Temple. He enjoyed gardening and evenings spent playing yahtzee and drinking tea with his love. One of his most treasured possessions was the cane of his son-in-law Mel. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Lill; five daughters, Linda (David Luce) Fricke of CO, Deborah (Mel) Reding of Seneca, Deanna Borowicz of IN, Danette Borowicz of Seneca, and Darlene (Ron) Larabee of Ottawa; four sons, Steve (Jessie) Fricke of Bloomington, David Borowicz of Coal City, Daniel Borowicz of TN, and James Fricke of Seneca; twenty-two grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren with one due in October; one sister, Claudine Fergus of WI; and his father-in-law, Robert C. Geltz of Oswego. He is preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Gertrude C. Geltz; and his son-in-law, Mel Reding. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
