Robert "Bob" N. Donahue Sr., 82, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Ottawa Regional Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa with Rev. Joseph Donton officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home; prayers will be at 4:00 with Knights of Columbus in attendance. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Bob was born March 20, 1929 in Ottawa, Illinois to Frank and Louise (Mettille) Donahue. He married Dorothy E. Landers June 7, 1952 at St. Theresa's Church in Earlville. For over twenty years he worked as the Supervisor of Assessment for LaSalle County and was a farmer in Wallace Township. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Knights of Columbus, and was the Wallace Township Clerk. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; two sons, Bill Donahue of St. Louis, and Tim Donahue of Ottawa; two daughters, Laurie (Erik) Skromme of Ottawa, and Susan (Bill) Francour of Wadsworth, IL.; six grandchildren, Jacob (Lindsey) and Cody Donahue, John and Katie Francour, Nicholas and Douglas Skromme; and two great-grandchildren, Josephine and Joseph Donahue. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Robert Donahue Jr., and his sister, Darlene Woods. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to Marquette Academy or St. Patrick's Church Masses.
