Robert L. Dean Jr.

Robert L. Dean Jr., 68, of Ottawa passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Rivershores Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marseilles. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites. Robert was born August 21, 1948 in Chicago to Robert and Gertrude (Simpson) Dean. He married Bonnie McMullen on June 1, 1985 in Chicago. Robert was a member of the United States Army, serving from 1972-1977. He was a hardworking man who loved building things, traveling, and gambling. He is survived by his wife; one son, Dallas; six step-children, Barbara Jean Hayworth, Billie Sue Wallace, James H. Dodds, Lisa Ann Dodds, Stephen Lee Kincade, and Ellen Jean Miller; one brother, and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-daughter, Theresa Ann Fry; and six sisters.
