Robert A. Cunningham

Robert A. Cunningham, 67, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, January 20 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 10 - 11am, prior to the services, at the funeral home, with military services. Robert was born April 17, 1949 in Ottawa to Robert F. and Elizabeth "Betty" (Bumgarner) Cunningham. He married Lucy Biffany on August 18, 1980 in Ottawa. Robert retired from the Ottawa Police Department after 23 years. He served in the United States Army in 1967, in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion VFW Honor Guard. He is survived by his wife, Lucy; two sons, Todd (Rhonda) Cunningham and Gary Cunningham, both of Missouri; one daughter, Mary (Mike) Faillo of Villa Park, IL; his step mother, JoAnn Cunningham; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; four brothers, Joe, Bill, Jimmy, and Mark; and four sisters, Carol, Diane, Kathy, and Laurie. He is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Jacob. Memorials may be directed to the family.
