Rita M. Roe, 76, of Ottawa, died Thursday, Feb. 4, at her home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church in Naplate with the Rev. Gerald Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4 p.m. and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas in attendance. She was born July 4, 1932, in Ottawa, to Joseph and Eileen (Rinaldi) Orsini. Rita was united in marriage om December 21, 1952 in Morris to Dale Roe. They spent the next 53 happy years of their lives together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was a registered nurse for 43 years. She was a member of CDA, VFW Auxiliary, St. Mary's Church and the Lost Ladies. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lori (Kelly) Aubry and Susan Talty, both of Ottawa; five grandchildren, Rachel, Jessica, Dale, Luke and Ron; one great-grandchild, Noah; one sister, Elaine (Bill) Mitchell of Ottawa; and one brother, Joseph (Darlene) Orsini of Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dale; a grandson, Troy Talty; a sister-in-law, Connie Burke; and a brother-in-law, Al Burke. Pallbearers will be Kelly Aubry, William Mitchell, David Lawsha, Dale and Ron Talty and Luke Waddell. Honorary pallbearers will be Rachel and Jessica Johnson and Noah Jonassen. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the donor's choice.
