Rita Pastorik

Rita Pastorik, 86, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Ottawa Pavilion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 Saturday, August 3, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with Fr. Bruno Byomuhangi officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m, two hours prior to services, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.

Rita was born September 11, 1932, in Ottawa, Illinois to William and Loretta (Schomas) Warren. She worked at Illinois Bell and The Ravlin Congregate Center. She married John Pastorik on May 16, 1953 at St. Patrick's Church, he preceded her in death on April 1, 2013.

She is survived by three children, Judy (Jon) Parker, Wayne Pastorik and Jana (Scott) Nelson; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren, with one on the way.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband, John; one son, Warren Pastorik; two brothers, Joe and Billy; and two sisters, Helen Kennedy and Ann Grennan.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
