Rickie Daniels

Rickie Daniels, 66, of Sauk Village, IL formerly of Seneca, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Franciscan Hospital in Dyer, Indiana.

Visitation will be Monday, March, 18, from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm at the funeral home, with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Rickie was born January 17, 1958, in Joliet, IL, to Orville and Erma (McDaneld) Daniels.

Rickie had a heart of gold, he would give you the shirt off his back and would do anything for anyone. He was also like MacGyver and could figure out how to fix anything. He worked for many years as the director of operations for BTM Realty and also worked for the Seneca Hunt Club. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed taking many RV trips with his best friend, who was like his brother, Ted. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting arrowheads and other Indian artifacts, and was an animal lover, especially his dogs, Dandy and Buddy. He enjoyed smoking a cigarette after a long day and going out in his favorite pickup truck. But above anything else, he loved to spend time with his grandkids. He loved them unconditionally.

He is survived by his daughters, Deandra (Donald) Wort and Jessica Barra; his grandchildren, Eric Wort, Melissa Wort, John Mann, Sophia Wort, Jayse Olson, Rileigh Johnson, Thea Johnson, and Ethyn Downey; his siblings, Rosetta Shirley, Allen (Maureen) Daniels, and Diane (Donald) Sandberg; and his best friend and brother, Ted Maras, and his children, Stella and Maeve.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
